Be a part of the program that makes Arizona State Parks special to so many people!
Have you ever dreamed of leading bird talks and discovering what brings people to Arizona from overseas, or assisting with interpretive programs at an 1870's military outpost or ancient Native American ruins
Arizona State Parks welcomes volunteers for one-time projects as well as long-term assignments.
If you live near one of the recreation, historic, or conservation sites, you may choose to volunteer on a regular basis. Recruitment of community members occurs throughout the year, with volunteer open houses and trainings occuring during busy seasons. Currently recruiting are:
Dead Horse Ranch State Park
Fort Verde State Historic Park
Jerome State Historic Park
Kartchner Caverns State Park
Lost Dutchman State Park
Lyman Lake State Park
Red Rock State Park
Riordan Mansion State Historic Park
Roper Lake State Park
Tubac Presidio State Historic Park
If you are traveling to Arizona from out of state you may be interested in our on-site volunteer program. Recruitment for these positions is conducted primarily through face-to-face interviews with people camping at our parks. Therefore, most positions are filled six months to a year a head of time. Occasional positions may need to be filled. If interested, please call the park of your choice and speak with them directly before you submit an application.Volunteer Application Form (
